Erin is featured in lululemon athletica's 2010/2011 Yoga Journal ad campaign
Erin Jasmine Taylor, RYT | Owner and Instructor
Erin is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and the owner of Jasyoga, the home of her passion—yoga for athletes. She brings a clear vision and mission to her classes: Find your flow.
Erin discovered yoga as a collegiate basketball player in San Francisco. At first she thought yoga was a bit slow and, well, boring — time that could be better spent on the court or in the weight room. Then, while sidelined by a spinal injury from overtraining, yoga provided the perfect opportunity to bring things back into balance. Learning to focus her mind in the present and calm and center herself with her breath quickly proved invaluable skills in her sport and beyond. The discovery that you can go further physically and mentally not by gritting your teeth but by taking a deep breath was a revelation.
It felt like “flow” personified.
Now, she brings her accessible, relevant approach — Jasyoga Flow and Jasyoga Athletica — to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and weekend warriors of all levels and abilities, from first-time runners to the NCAA Division 1 national championship softball team. Along the way, she has been sponsored by lululemon athletica, LUNA, and Manduka, and has been featured on the back cover of Yoga Journal.
Fueled by a steady diet of kale and Mighty O organic, vegan donuts, Erin satisfies her drive to push herself physically by running, dancing, and taking it around town on her bike “the red rocket,” however now her approach is now less about competing and more about balance.
Alison Marra, RYT | Instructor
With a background in movement as a competitive gymnast and dancer, Alison felt an instant connection to yoga when she discovered the practice during her college years. She reveled in this unique form of movement that allowed her to breathe and de-stress. Yoga quickly became an essential part of Alison’s being as the lessons she learned on the mat positively infiltrated her everyday life.
Seizing the opportunity to enhance her knowledge of the practice, the Seattle native earned her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification in 2007. Since then she has coupled her passion for yoga with a deep understanding of what it means to be an athlete to join Jasyoga Athletica.
She works with athletes and teams — bringing a clear understanding of the demands of all different sports and fitness modalities to guide her students back into balance. In her down time, Alison enjoys an array of seasonal activities ranging from skiing to stand-up-paddle surfing. Don’t be surprised if you see her at the stoplight next to you belting out indie rock tunes in her car.
Cicely Andree, RYT, LMP | Instructor
Cicely was introduced to yoga in 2000 while playing pre-season lacrosse at Denison University. She was an athlete throughout her youth—playing lacrosse, tennis, basketball, and running track. While she was comfortable in running shoes, on a field, and competing in general, the yoga mat was foreign territory.
As Cicely stepped away from athletics, yoga stayed. It became a place to explore movement and focus in a completely new way. It offered consistency, challenge, and ease for a body that needed more balance between work and rest.
Cicely has been teaching yoga professionally since 2005. Her yoga classes are grounded in the ideas of cause and effect—unique posture work and physical challenge. She aims to teach accurate, anatomically intelligent movements that can be catered to the individual, and likes a few laughs along the way.
In addition to teaching yoga, Cicely is a Licensed Massage Practitioner who specializes in injury treatment, deep tissue, prenatal/postnatal, and wellness/relaxation bodywork sessions. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Acupuncture at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine.
